TRIANGLE BREATHING MEDITATION

The Groundwork | Triangle Breathing

Taking time to breathe slowly and consciously, has tremendous positive effects on our body. Breathing slowly for at least five minutes will boost your energy levels, focuses the mind, improves your immune system and calms your nervesystem.

 

During this breath meditation you will breath in for 6 counts, breath out for 6 counts, and hold your breath for 6 counts. 

 

There are many variations of this type of breathing. The Triangle Breathing is a fairly simple exercise to start working on your breathe.   

BREATHE & ENERGY MEDITATIONS

One of the most important things in doing energy meditations is your breath. By using slow and steady breaths, you optimize your energy levels in your body and can completely surrender to your higher being and the energies around you.

 

Especially using ocean breath (ujjayi pranayama) as a type of breathing can be of great help during your meditation.

Extra Support
  • Divide your breath completely over the 6 counts.

  • We tend to breath in too much and to not breathe out fully. At some point it will become quite hard to continue breathing in a slow and relaxed manner.

  • By continuing to breath in softly and slowly (and not fill up your lungs fully), this type of breathing will become quite easy.

  • Try to breath out fully most of the times.

  • If possible, do the Triangle Breathing with an ocean breath.

  • Make your own variations by doing:

    • Breath in for 6 counts ​

    • Hold for 6 counts

    • Breath out for 6 counts

    • Hold for 6 counts

  • Extend the amount of counts evenly by for example 8 or 10 counts.

Ah Sound Meditation

Everything is vibration. Using your own voice is a beautiful way to start working with your own healing tones. By making an ah sound on the same pitch for 10 minutes is an effective way to rebalance your heart energy and balance out your higher and lower energies. 

This meditation will melt your heart and relax the body deeply.

  • 'Ah' is pronounced like the 'a' in father or farm

  • Take your time when you breath in

  • Don't sing until the very end of your breath

  • Sit comfortably with a straight spine

  • Use headphones to let your voice blend in more naturally with the other voices.

Chakra Meditation| Variation I

In this (short) chakra meditation we work on our 7 (basic) chakras. It helps you with starting to connect to all parts of you and helps to balance all of them.

Explaining the Chakras

Our chakras are the connection between our body and our soul. They are responsible for absorbing the life energy and feeding our body with it. Each chakra represents a specific aspect of our consciousness. Therefor to live a conscious and balanced life, all chakras need to be in balance, separately and together as a group.

When we want to awake or become more intuitive, we focus on our 6th and 7th chakra. Yet, counterintuitively its is as much and i would say even more important to first focus on the 1st chakra. It is a crucial chakra in the awakening process.

In this (short) chakra meditation we work on our 7 (basic) chakras. It helps you with starting to connect to all parts of you and helps to balance all of them.

  • Sit on a chair or stand comfortably. Only lay down when necessary.
